Looking to buy a house on a limited budget

I first moved to Jacksonville to attend school.

The out-of-state tuition required an unbelievable deal of student loans.

The area was an immense change from where I grew up in the northeast. I was blissful by the palm trees as well as the non-stop sunshine. It was such a relief to leave behind sub zero temperatures as well as blizzard conditions. Once I graduated from school, I stayed to complete my graduate work. After that, I was still reluctant to leave. I cherish the chances of the sprawling city as well as proximity to the ocean. I am currently renting a legitimately small, cramped home with outdated appliances, a cooling system that barely works as well as plumbing concerns. There isn’t satisfactory sizzling water, the bedroom faucet leaks as well as there’s minimal water pressure. I check the Jacksonville real estate availability nearly every afternoon. On Fridays, I attend every possible open house as well as tour properties for sale. I’ve visited homes in Avondale, San Marco, Riverside as well as just about every safe neighborhood. Most of the properties are far beyond the limits of my budget. Although I managed to land a job in my field, it’s an entry level position. I’m not making all that much, however there is unbelievable potential for upward mobility. In the meantime, I’m struggling to pay off student loans as well as not having a lot of borrowing power. The homes that I can afford aren’t all that wonderful. They regularly have major problems with the roofing, heating/cooling, electrical or plumbing systems. I don’t want to take on a house that requires tons of investment into repairs.
