Pallet racking offers a wide variety of options, but retail outlets, distribution centers plus new warehouses are able to customize a design to suit exact requirements.

One such option is double deep pallet racking, a conventional toption, this solution stores pallets at two depths to achieve higher storage density, then unlike conventional stretchy pallet racking, this set up does not offer direct access to all of the stored pallets, instead, double deep pallet racking is used with specialized forklifts that feature telescopic forks or a pantograph mechanism to quick plus really access the second pallet stored.

Another solution is compact racking. Drive in pallet racking or LIFO systems are most common. This type of system requires one access aisle for the forklift plus utilizes a last in plus first out method. The last pallet in is the first one retrieved, which works well for warehouses storing homogeneous product with low rotation. Drive through racking requires two toil aisles. One is located one each side of the racking, which creates a FIFO or first in, first out method. The first pallet in is the first one to be retrieved. This style is best for warehouses with high rotation products.
